Recalls from Merritt Manufacturing, Subaru, Harley-Davidson, Volvo, and Ford

Merritt Manufacturing is recalling specific Angel Guard Angel Ride car beds as their restraint harness may not have been properly sewed where the buckle is attached. In the event of a crash, this issue could increase their risk of injury as the harness may not restrain them.

Subaru is recalling certain 2019 Crosstrek, Forester, and Ascent models due to an issue with the PCV valve. It can separate, allowing engine oil and components of the valve into the combustion chamber, which would result in a loss of power while driving. This defect increases the risk of a crash.

Harley-Davidson is recalling certain 2019-2020 FLHTCUTG and FLRT Trike motorcycles as the Trike Traction Control System software could respond incorrectly to a faulty rear wheel speed signal by activating one of the rear brakes. This could cause a crash as the unintended activation of one rear brake could lead to change in vehicle direction.

Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2017-2019 Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks that are equipped with an electric tailgate latch release switch mounted in the tailgate handle. This defect means that water may enter the electrical wiring system and cause a short circuit, activating the switch and releasing the tailgate latches. This issue increases the risk of a crash as it may allow unrestrained items to fall out of the truck bed.

Volvo is recalling specific 2011-2017 S60, S601, V60, S60CC and V60CC vehicles because a component within the door latches may break, which makes the doors difficult to latch. It also leads the driver or passenger to believe a door is securely closed when it is not. This increases the risk of injury to a vehicle occupant as the door that isn’t securely closed could open while the vehicle is driving.
