July’s Recall
Honda is recalling certain 2018-2020 Acura and Honda vehicles (136,00 in total). The fuel pumps can have an improper impeller which might result in vehicle stalling while in use; or loss of engine power might occur increasing the chances of a crash. Until the issue is fixed, Honda has ordered car dealerships not to sell the affected models. Honda will contact the affected owners and will replace the fuel pump for free. Ford has issued three recalls that affects 40,000 cars from 2014-2020. Affected models include the Mustang and the Expedition. Approximately 25,081 units of the 2020 Expedition and the 2020 Lincoln Navigator pre-collision assist features, which include forward collision warning, dynamic brake support, and the automatic emergency brake, do not turn on. These features are important because they alert the driver if a crash is forthcoming and help ease the burden should a crash occur. To fix this issue, owners should take their vehicles to a technician to have it serviced.
The second recall involves some 2019 models of the Mustang which were manufactured between April 26 and October 2019. Some models of the Navigator which were manufactured from October 16, 2018, to October 13, 2019, were also affected. In both models, the “transmission in park” message and the warning chime that comes with it only appear for three seconds rather than the usual ten seconds. The issue tends to occur when the transmission and ignition is off, and the driver’s door is closed. However, only 10,460 models are affected.
The last recall affects 5,088 models of Ford’s Transit Connect manufactured between July 17, 2014, and October 1, 2016. There is an issue between the sunroof and the body of the vehicle. Over time, an annoying wind sound might be heard. There is the possibility of an interior-destroying water leak. In severe cases, the entire sunroof might fall off. Owners should take their Transit Connect to a Ford dealership to take proper measures to fix the sunroof.
Nestle, the makers of Lean Cuisine, are recalling 29,000 units of their Fettuccini Alfredo. It was discovered that this product contained chicken and other undeclared allergens which were not stated on the ingredients list. As of right now, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported. If consumers have any sort of food allergies, they should not consume the product.
