Labor Day Weekend Safety Reminder
Labor Day weekend usually marks the end of summer for many families. The weather begins to turn, kids go back to school, and normal routines return. This means that many celebrate Labor Day weekend as a last hurrah of the summer months. Whether traveling with the family for the long weekend or just grilling at home, we want you to be safe doing so. We have 5 Labor Day Safety tips to help you have a healthy and fun long weekend.
Prepare for Traffic
Every Labor Day there is reports of amplified traffic, accidents, and problems on the roads. The National Safety Council reports that nearly 400 deaths occur from collisions during this holiday weekend alone. Make sure that you are fully aware and concentrating while driving your vehicle this weekend.
Moderate Alcohol Use
Drinking in excess is unhealthy and can be very dangerous. Make sure that if you are drinking, you are drinking in moderation. Never drive under the influence, and always have a sober designated driver.
Safe Ride App- Labor Day

Boat Use
Many families take their boat out for one last cruise during this long weekend. This means that there will be a lot of water traffic. Make sure to follow our boating safety tips to lower your risk of injury.
Hydration and Sun Safety
Finally. Remember to stay safe in the sun. Wear sunscreen and stay hydrated to avoid sunburn and heat exhaustion. Remember that just because it is overcast, does not mean you can’t get burnt!
