So, what is the process for handling your application for veterans benefits?
And so, initially, we’re going to file an initial application before the regional office. And when they consider your application, we need to prove two things. We need to prove that you have a disabling condition, and number two, that you have service connection. That that disabling condition is linked to an inservice event. And most of the initial hearings are done at the regional office, including the appeal. If you are completely denied at the regional office, then it goes before the BVA, which is the Board of Veterans Appeals, and the process starts over and your entire application is reconsidered based on the denial at the lower level at the regional office. If you lose at the BVA, it would then go to the CAVC, the Court of Veterans Appeals, which is where it changes from an administrative law process and goes to uh really a federal district court process. And so that courts in Washington DC as well as the BVA. So that’s really kind of the process simplified from start to finish.
