How Can Veterans Prepare for a VA Disability Hearing?

Fighting for VA disability benefits involves a long series of hearings or court dates, like the TV shows that showcase courtroom drama. VA disability compensation is unique because you don’t always need a hearing. In fact, at Rob Levine Law, we prioritize trying to cut through the VA red tape, so that you’re not bogged down by that inefficient bureaucracy and we get you benefits as soon as we possibly can. That means a few different things. It means that we’re not going to ask for a hearing unless we absolutely have to. We have an array of disability professionals who will work with you, for instance, to develop evidence that could replace live testimony. We feel that this is really important because unless it’s a really rare circumstance, we can fine-tune and perfectly tailor the narrative of what happened to you in a written statement that could replace the years of wait time that could be added to your case if you request a hearing where you may be nervous, say the wrong thing, or even worse, not be able to say everything that you want to say. So it’s one of the many ways in which we strategically try to get you VA disability benefits as soon as we possibly can. There are so many other ways in which we try to get you the most benefits as fast as possible. And it’s something that we’d love to discuss with you in a free VA case evaluation.
