Is Lane Splitting Legal in New England States?

So the question always comes up about lane splitting. Is it legal? Is it not legal? And lane splitting refers to really somebody sharing a lane. And generally you talk about a motorcycle squeezing between vehicles to pass in slow traffic and get between. And the answer generally speaking is no, you can’t do that. Right? So you can’t pass on the right. You can’t pass on the left unless you’re literally in a passing zone and going into the left lane to overtake someone and that’s a broken spaced lane that allows you to do that. But traveling in the shoulder, traveling in the left shoulder, the right shoulder or going between vehicles in traffic, no, you cannot lane split.
