Pinar Erturan Tumel is an attorney whose career has been defined by consumer, tenant, and victim advocacy. As a legal aid attorney, she represented indigent clients in Massachusetts Housing Court, negotiating settlements with landlords and advocating for subsidized tenancies. Previously, as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Fairfax, Virginia, she managed high-volume dockets and handled a wide range of criminal prosecutions, resolving matters through negotiation and trial.
Admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Maryland, and Virginia, Pinar earned her J.D. from George Mason University Antonin Scalia Law School and her B.A. in Political Science from Tulane University. She is bilingual in Turkish and English and is a recipient of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ HCHV Excellence in Advocacy Award.
Outside of work, Pinar enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, skiing, and practicing yoga, as well as spending time with family.
