VA Terms of Service
Rob Levine Law provides legal representation and advocacy services to Veterans seeking benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). These Terms govern your use of our services and any associated technology used to assist in retrieving authorized VA information. By engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.
Scope of Services
Services may include:
- Legal representation related to VA claims and benefits
- Case intake and case management
- Secure retrieval of VA information after Veteran authorization
Rob Levine Law acts solely in the interest of the Veteran client and in accordance with applicable laws.
VA Authentication and Authorization
All authentication occurs directly through VA.gov.
Rob Levine Law:
- Does not collect VA usernames or passwords
- Does not store VA credentials
- Cannot access a Veteran’s VA account
Access to VA information occurs only after the Veteran explicitly authorizes retrieval through VA.gov.
Following authentication and consent, the VA may issue a secure authorization token allowing limited access to approved information.
Authorization is limited to the minimum information necessary to provide legal representation.
Authorized Use of VA Information
Information retrieved from VA systems is used solely for:
- Case intake
- Claim preparation
- Legal representation
- Case management
Rob Levine Law does not sell, license, or use VA-derived data for marketing, advertising, analytics, or unrelated services.
Revocation of Authorization Veterans may revoke authorization at any time by contacting Rob Levine Law. Identity verification will be required before revocation is processed. Once confirmed, system access to VA-derived data will be terminated.
Data Security
Rob Levine Law maintains administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Veteran information.
Security practices align with:
- Federal information security practices
- NIST 800-53 controls
- NIST 800-171 guidance
- HIPAA security safeguards where applicable
Access to information is restricted to authorized personnel involved in the Veteran’s legal representation.
Business Transfers
If Rob Levine Law undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or sale of assets, Veteran information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Users will be notified and provided options consistent with the Privacy Policy, including:
- Downloading their information
- Requesting deletion
- Closing their account
Changes to Terms
Rob Levine Law may update these Terms periodically. If material changes occur, users will be notified through:
- Email notification
- Website notices
- Service communications
