So, as a pedestrian, when you’re crossing the street, we all know that you’re supposed to be crossing in the crosswalk. Now, first of all, some streets don’t have crosswalks, and some do. So, what is it really important to know? If you’re 1 foot outside the crosswalk, 2 feet, 3 feet, nobody’s going to say anything. You’re going to be covered. If you’re crossing in the middle of a block and there were crosswalks on both ends, that’s where you have a problem, right?
Because you’re what we call jaywalking. And so you shouldn’t be coming out from between vehicles because the argument from the other side is, well, I couldn’t see him because he stepped out from a vehicle in front of my car, nor should I have expected him because the expectation is that he should be crossing in a crosswalk. So when you’re crossing the street, make sure you cross in a crosswalk. Now, if something happens and you had to cross somewhere else and there’s a reason for it, construction, a bus, something like that, call us no matter what, and we’re going to fight for you whether you were in the crosswalk or not.
