What Should I Do If I’m at Fault in a Car Accident?

Hi, I’m attorney Rob Levine. So, different than I would normally talk about. You’re in an accident and you’re at fault. Wow, that really sucks and I’m sorry to hear that. So, the question I get is, “Oh my god, what do I do?” Well, first of all, you need to call the insurance company and report the claim. If you’re still at the scene, you obviously need to call the police and tell them your side of the story and let them know what happened. You don’t need to hire a lawyer if you’re at fault. Your insurance company will hire a lawyer for you and they’ll represent you if it’s necessary. Otherwise, your insurance company will just settle the claim without any legal action.
